Choosing the Right Poker Bonus Offer
Poker banners aren't hard to spot, but they don't tell the full story. When you're looking to make a deposit somewhere, you need to shop around a little. Obviously, you shouldn't choose a room just based on their deposit bonus offer. You want to consider other factors such as the reputation of the room, the quality of the software, the traffic, the promotions, etc. Assuming you've done that narrowed down your options now is the time to look at bonus offers.

Preparation.
Before you start, you need to ask yourself two questions:
1. Do I want to win, or just to kill my free time?
It's very important to mentally prepare your self for winning. If your answer is to kill a free time, don't bother - you'll waste your precious time and probably won't win.
2. Can I spend 4-6 hours in front of my computer?
Sometimes it takes around 3–6 hours to finish the tournament, depending on the tournament and the number of players.
So, make sure your homework is done, your girlfriend satisfied ;) and nobody will distract you from game at least 3 hours. In my expierence it's best to play at night, when everybody is sleeping and you're much more concentrated on the game.
OK, let's assume you are ready. Go get yourself a cup of coffee and let's get started!
First hour.
The first hour is generally where most everyone will be going all in with any two cards. The trick is - DON'T GET INVOLVED!

Rounders 2 a reality?
A month ago, I wrote that Matt Damon was interviewed at the red carpet for "Ante Up For Africa at the 2009 World Series of Poker" and then he said that "the only reason to do a movie like that would be if we had a great idea". It seems, that all the rumors about the Rounders sequel might become a reality.
Few days ago Pokerlistings.com have posted an article titled "Rounders 2 a reality?".
Here are some quotes from creators:
"Brian and I had been working on the rough beginnings of a screenplay idea about two friends, and deciding what to do with one's life, and we weren't sure exactly what world we were going to set it in," he explained.
"Then Brian called me at about three in the morning and said 'I just lost all my money at an underground poker club. It was awesome. We've got to set the movie here.'
"The next night we went, and kept going back, playing at clubs all over the city every night for a year. We read all the available important poker books too, and began writing the script during the mornings."

Starting freeroll challenge "From $0 to $10.000"
Yes, you heard me right, I'm one of those maniacs, who will try to won $10.000 whitout putting any money :)
I think You all probably already know the famous Chris Ferguson freeroll challenge experiment "from $0 to hero". The man in 2006 won $10.000 from $0. He started playing freerolls, won some cash and then participated in SnG tournaments, then in cash games and so on.
Last week was pretty successfful for me. I won my first freerolls at Pitbull Poker (1st and 2nd places = $12.5 total) They run freerolls every hour, so it's pretty easy to win.
Current results:
Now I'm moving to SnG tournaments.
If You've started something similar, post your results in the comments box!

Sheiky broke Mikes Matusow glasses
Well, everything happen when you're steamy in poker :) I've just rewatched 3rd season of TV show "High Stakes Poker" and had noticed interesting thing.
The story starts when Mike Matusow raises kamikazi style with K/J offsuit against Sheikys two 8s. Sheiky folds and Mike shows his cards. Sheiky is steamy. And we all know, that Mike like to talk and laugh at his jokes. I think that wasn't a time for that. At 13:48s Sheiky quickly takes Mikes glasses and broke them. Watch the whole action bellow.

Tips from professionals vol. 1
Hi there again. I get lot of requests from begginers, and they ask a lot of question how to get started. So, I've decided to post secret tips from professionals once a week. This time I got contacted with well known player from Denmark, who is my idol, Gus Hansen and asked him what can he suggest for beginners.
So, here is what he sayed:
1. NEVER play more than one game at a time. How do you think you can jump from one game to the next and still have the ability to study your opponents’ every move?
2. ALWAYS play good starting hands, such as the top 10 starting hands: AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ, JJ, 10-10, 9-9, 8-8, 7-7
3. LEARN how seat position can play an important role in how you bet and when.
4. STUDY THE FLOP and make an informed decision before you bet. Ask yourself what the best possible hand is and consider whether or not your opponent has it!
5. SELDOM raise before the flop.
6. ALWAYS try to prevent your opponents from reading you. If you get into too many habits, you will be an easy read.
Got it ? :) Thanks Gus, next week - the one and only Phil Helmuth with his advices for begginers.

TEXAS HOLDEM RULES
In our description of the Texas Holdem rules we use the poker terms most commonly used within the poker industry.
Before the game starts, the 2 players next to the dealer have to make a forced bet called a blind bet. The first player next to the dealer has to place the small blind bet (half of the minimum bet). The second player has to make the big blind bet (the minimum bet at the table).
Texas Holdem Rules: Pocket Cards
According to the Texas Holdem rules, the dealer uses 52 cards and a maximum of 10 players can participate. Every player is dealt 2 cards that no one else can see. These are known as their pocket cards.
1st Round
Players can now place their bets. The third person next to the dealer starts. If the game is 'limit', this means that the bet in the first round is equal to the minimum bet. You have the option to call, raise or fold. All players need to place the same bet or fold (to leave the game) before the game continues.
The Flop
After the bets have been placed, the dealer puts 3 community cards on the table that everyone can see. This is called the "flop." Players can use the 3 community cards in combination with their 2 own cards. The goal is, of course, to get the best hand.
2nd Round
The person on the left of the dealer opens the second betting round (check or bet). The bet in the second round is the same in the second round as it is in the first round. Again, you have the option bet, call, raise or fold. All players have to place the same bet or fold the cards before the game continues.
The Turn
When players have finished betting, the dealer reveals another card. This card is called the turn. Now players have 6 cards to use in order to get the best hand possible.
3rd Round
The player next to the dealer starts again. The bet in the third round is twice the minimum bet. Again, you have the option to bet, call, raise or fold. All players have to wage the same amount or fold the cards before the round comes to an end.
The River
After this, the dealer reveals the last card. This card is called the river. Players now have 7 cards at their disposal in order to get make the best hand possible.
4th and Final Round
The person to the left of the dealer opens the round. The bet amount is again twice the minimum bet. Again, you have the option to bet, call, raise or fold. All players have to wager the same amount or fold their cards before the showdown.
Showdown
The players who are still playing reveal their two hidden pocket cards. The player with the best hand wins everything. In the case of a tie, the pot is split. Now you know the Texas Holdem poker rules.
